Air India Express Adopts Willis Lease Finance Corporation's ConstantThrust® Program for 26 Engines

WLFC
September 21, 2025
Willis Lease Finance Corporation announced on March 27, 2025, that Air India Express, a wholly owned subsidiary of Air India, signed definitive engine sale and leaseback agreements with WLFC. The agreement covers 26 CFM56-7B engines installed on 13 of its Boeing 737-800 aircraft. These engines will be covered under WLFC’s proprietary ConstantThrust® program, which provides serviceable engines to replace units needing maintenance, thereby minimizing airline downtime. This streamlined process reduces maintenance unpredictability and lowers engine change costs for airlines. This new program expands on an existing ConstantThrust® agreement signed in 2022 with Air India, which covers 34 CFM56-5B engines. Both programs will be managed in part by WLFC’s team located in GIFT City, India, reinforcing WLFC's presence in the Indian aviation market.
