Willis Lease Finance Corporation announced on November 20, 2024, that its subsidiary, Willis Sustainable Fuels (UK) Limited (WSFL), entered into a master services agreement (MSA) with McDermott. This agreement is for early engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) related services for its Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) initiative.
The initial focus is on WSFL’s first planned SAF facility in Teesside, which is supported by the UK Government’s Advanced Fuels Fund. This facility is designed to produce 50,000 litres of SAF per day, with the parties intending to negotiate a sole-source EPC scope in 2025.
Amy Ruddock, Senior Vice President of Sustainable Aviation & Corporate Development, highlighted this partnership as a key milestone in WLFC's efforts to lead in aviation decarbonization. The collaboration with McDermott, known for its integrated design and construction expertise, is expected to reduce risk and optimize costs for the project.
