Wabash announced the launch of a new Ready-to-Mount Program and the opening of a new Parts and Services facility in Gary, Indiana, set to begin operations in April. This strategic expansion aims to meet growing demand for upfit and ready-to-mount solutions, broadening Wabash's service portfolio and network. The Ready-to-Mount Program delivers pre-built dry freight and platform bodies with mounting and options added in a few weeks.
The new Gary facility will be Wabash's seventh Parts and Services center dedicated to truck body upfitting, expanding its coast-to-coast footprint. It will offer customizable solutions, including shelving, telematics, and trade-specific packages, with some completed in 10 days or less. The facility will also provide truck body services and aftermarket parts, enhancing customer access to Wabash’s service capabilities.
In 2024, Wabash upfitted more than 1,100 truck bodies through its Parts and Services network. Dave Hill, vice president of Recurring Revenue at Wabash, highlighted that these network expansions strengthen partnerships with dealers and enable them to better serve customers with reduced lead-times and tailored, efficient solutions.
