Wabash announced a strategic partnership with UP.Labs, a corporate venture lab, to co-develop Wabash Venture Lab and two AI-driven startups. Initiated in fall 2024, this collaboration is part of Wabash’s ongoing transformation strategy focused on long-term customer value, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth. The ventures aim to simplify operations and elevate customer service. The first startup is developing a next-generation AI-powered tool to streamline the specification process for made-to-order trailers and truck bodies. This tool will guide users through configuration options with real-time trade-off visualizations, significantly reducing the time required to generate and review quotes. Wabash expects this to unlock efficiencies across the entire manufacturing value chain, including production scheduling and supply planning. The second venture focuses on transforming the aftermarket industry with an intelligent software platform. This platform will use predictive analytics to orchestrate the production, distribution, and pricing of aftermarket parts in real time, aiming to accelerate parts revenue and efficiency for Wabash. Mike Pettit, chief growth officer, stated that this collaboration provides a faster, lower-risk path to creating value for customers and partners.
