WeRide priced its global equity offering of 88,250,000 Class A ordinary shares at HK$27.10 per share, equivalent to about US$10.36 per American depositary share. The offering includes an international and Hong Kong public offering with the same share price.
The gross proceeds are expected to be HK$2.39 billion if the over‑allotment option is not exercised, or HK$2.75 billion if fully exercised. The offering closed on the same day and the shares began trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on November 6, 2025 under the code 0800.
WeRide will use the net proceeds to advance its autonomous‑driving technology stack, accelerate the commercial mass production and operation of Level‑4 fleets, improve product quality, expand business scale, support marketing teams and branches, invest in marketing activities, and provide working capital and general corporate purposes. The company has posted steady losses over the past three years, with 2024 revenue of RMB 361.13 million and a net loss of RMB 2.52 billion, while Q2 2025 revenue rose 60.8% to RMB 127.2 million but the net loss widened to RMB 406.4 million.
WeRide operates in a highly competitive autonomous‑driving market, with competitors such as Pony.ai, AutoX, Apollo Auto, Waymo, Cruise, and Didi Chuxing. The company has deployed autonomous vehicles in over 30 cities across 11 countries and holds permits in seven markets. Strategic investors including Uber, Grab, and Bosch have expressed interest in participating as anchor investors in the Hong Kong IPO, underscoring industry backing.
