Western Copper and Gold Corporation provided an update on several infrastructure initiatives supporting its Casino Copper-Gold Project on April 10, 2025. Natural Resources Canada conditionally approved $40 million in funding on September 17, 2024, for the B.C.-Yukon Grid Connect Project, with conditions met by the Yukon Development Corporation and a contribution agreement signed on February 14, 2025.

The company also noted that the Yukon Resource Gateway Project expanded its scope on March 22, 2025, to include the Dempster Highway, leading to a redirection of some funding previously allocated to the Casino Copper-Gold Access Road. Discussions on future funding for the road are expected to continue.

Additionally, Western Copper and Gold completed an updated transportation study for shipping concentrate to the Port of Skagway. The study identified promising alternatives with costs broadly in line with or lower than the company's 2022 feasibility study estimates, addressing a key logistical component for the project.
