Yum! Brands, Inc. announced on January 13, 2025, the promotion of Scott Mezvinsky to KFC Division Chief Executive Officer, effective March 1, 2025. Mezvinsky will report directly to Yum! Brands CEO David Gibbs.
Mezvinsky, a 20-year veteran of the company, previously served as President of Taco Bell North America and International. In his new role, he will assume global responsibility for driving KFC's brand strategy and performance.
He succeeds Sabir Sami, who is stepping down as KFC CEO at the end of February 2025. David Gibbs praised Mezvinsky's track record in operations, strategy, finance, and development, citing him as a natural choice to lead KFC's long-term global growth strategies.
