YY Group Holding Limited announced its entry into Egypt’s hospitality sector, a market valued at roughly $20 billion in 2025. The company will roll out its YY Circle on‑demand workforce platform in Cairo and other key tourist hubs, using AI‑driven matching to connect local labor with international hotel chains.
The expansion builds on YY Group’s success in the United Arab Emirates and is part of a broader MENA strategy. Ramy Attia, who led the UAE business, has been appointed Country Director for Egypt and will oversee the platform’s rollout across the country’s hospitality industry.
YY Group’s financial profile has been challenging, with recent periods marked by declining earnings and operating losses. Nevertheless, the company’s revenue grew 27.36% in its most recent reporting period and 33.7% in the first half of 2025, indicating that the business model can scale. The Egypt expansion is intended to diversify revenue streams and tap a tourism market that welcomed nearly 19 million visitors in 2025, a 21% increase from 2024.
Mike Fu, Chairman and CEO, said, “Following the exceptional growth of our UAE operations, expanding into Egypt is the natural next step in our MENA strategy. Egypt is a major tourism market with a large workforce. By introducing YY Circle, we are providing the digital infrastructure needed to connect this workforce with the world‑class hotel chains we already serve across the region.” The company sees the Egyptian market as a high‑growth opportunity that can offset headwinds in other regions.
The move positions YY Group to capture a share of Egypt’s expanding tourism sector while leveraging its AI platform to improve labor matching efficiency. However, the company must manage cost pressures and maintain operational discipline to convert the expansion into profitable growth, given its recent financial headwinds.”
