ZenaTech, Inc. announced it has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to acquire a sixth land survey engineering company, located in Arizona. Upon completion, this will be the first acquisition in the Southwest Region, serving as a launchpad for further regional development.
This acquisition contributes to the company’s national Drone-as-a-Service (DaaS) business model, aiming to bring the speed and precision of AI drone solutions to businesses and government users through a convenient subscription or pay-per-use model. CEO Shaun Passley, Ph.D., highlighted Arizona as a strategic location due to existing business offices and a testing site in Phoenix, along with a favorable regulatory and manufacturing climate for drone companies.
The DaaS model offers customers reduced upfront costs and convenience, as ZenaTech manages maintenance and operation, and provides access to advanced drone technology without the need for specialized training. The global drone surveying market is projected to be worth over $8 billion globally by 2030, expanding at a CAGR of 15-20%.
