ZenaTech, Inc. announced that its Taiwan subsidiary, Spider Vision Sensors, is expanding its East Asian partnerships to sell to customers in the rapidly growing government defense and commercial drone markets. The company is also broadening its collaborations with local component manufacturers to enhance US military compliance in manufacturing sensors, cameras, and parts for its ZenaDrone 1000 and IQ series AI drones.

ZenaTech has hired two business development managers and plans to add up to five engineers over the next month to the Spider Vision Sensors office team. CEO Shaun Passley, Ph.D., emphasized the strategic importance of non-Chinese Asian component partnerships for creating US Defense-compliant cameras, sensors, and parts, which will accelerate product market entry.

The Asia-Pacific military drone market, including Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea, is projected to be the fastest-growing region globally, expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13.15% from 2024 to 2032. Commercial drone markets in Japan and Malaysia are also expanding rapidly, driven by applications in agriculture, infrastructure, security, and logistics.
