KinderCare Learning Companies, Inc. released data from its sixth annual KinderCare Confidence Index on May 7, 2025, conducted in partnership with The Harris Poll. The national study found that access to quality child care is a critical cornerstone for enhancing parental well-being and mental health.
The survey revealed that 90% of parents agree that quality child care gives them confidence as a parent, and 75% indicate it allows them to be more present with their children, a 10% increase from 2024. Additionally, 85% of parents reported that selecting high-quality child care significantly reduces their anxieties.
Dan Figurski, President of KinderCare for Employers and Champions, emphasized the positive impact of dependable, high-quality child care on parental mental health. He highlighted the need for policymakers and businesses to enhance child care benefits, noting KinderCare's partnerships with hundreds of employers to provide tailored child care options.
